How can the Leib Society help me?
If you are an Oberlin alumni looking for a job in a specific field of interest, or a way to harness a passion or start a project, the Leib Society can connect you to fellow Obies who are in your field of interest, or share your passions.
Can the Leib society connect me with fellow Obies, even if I already have a job?
Certainly! Through the Leib Society you can connect with Oberlin alumni over hobbies, passions or talents. If you moved to a new area or are looking to meet fellow alumni where you live, the Leib Society can help you make those connections.
Can I be involved even if I don’t live in NYC?
Of course! Although the Leib Society is a project of the Chabad at Oberlin Alumni Community which is NYC based, we work to connect Oberlin alumni wherever they may be!
I’m in a niche industry, is the Leib Society for me?
Although we can’t make a 100% guarantee, fill out the form about your areas of interest and we will try as much as we can to connect you to an alumni in your field, or as similar one as possible! You might be surprised about where you can find Obies!
Created as a project of the Chabad at Oberlin Alumni Community, the Leib Society is dedicated in loving memory of Sarah's grandfather, Mr. Leib (Leonard) Wolfe (1929-2025), who dedicated his life as a social worker for the city of New York, where he helped individuals with disabilities find jobs and fulfillment in life. His life work provides tremendous inspiration for this project.
